Where to even start with this major international city...I know I have to return as I didn't even scrape the surface. It's such a large city and I simply need more time. I'm thinking I will do a layover next year when I come back to Asia to finish up the countries that I want to explore. But enjoy the photo's from this brief trip. Definitely geared towards tourist. Look at the size of the crab legs! And as usual, I did a food tour my first day. Got to make my own sushi bowl, tasted yummy ice cream- more like custard. White strawberry, Japanese omelet, other snacks- I actually liked the smoked octopus! I never thought I would taste octopus again after South Korea, but I'm glad I did. I actually bought some to take with me- we went through those already though. Oh well, just another reason to return. Below is the food I tried and shots around town- this area of town, which is where the old fish market used to be, Tsukiji Jogai Market and the old Tsukiji Market. But it's still a vibrant area and even thought the fish market has changed locations, chefs still shop the fish vendors here, and they also sell everything else you could possibly need. Check out Sushi from a vending machine- not sure that I'm brave enough to try that...

Just above is the coffee shop that John Lenon made famous. And they like to dress their dogs up. Look how cute he is in his jacket and glasses!

We then bopped on over to another part of town- I'm sorry I can't remember the name of it. But another crowded, tourist area.

I of course had to try the 3D Art Coffee- just a mocha cappuccino with the foam shaped into different forms and then she painted it-how cool! Check out the video below. And I couldn't wait to try the Mont Blanc dessert. It's an ice cream cone covered in a cream that's been pushed through a mini ricer. Tasted good...stumbled on a mime too. Just a lot going on in this area.

Like I said, definitely going back. Which is good, the World Expo started right before I left and it got really crowded, so I was glad to leave. Next stop Sri Lanka! I've wanted to go for so long, I can't wait!
