I got to Coron a couple of days ago, and THIS is what I was expecting! Beautiful white sand beaches and clear blue seas. There are 2 options to get to Palawan from Manila. I decided to fly (1 hr 20 minutes), but there is also a ferry (12 hours, but it's overnight, so you could save on a hotel room for 1 night). Once I arrived, I opted to do an island hopping tour for the first full day here. So instead of trying to get to 6-8 different islands, I chose 3, but they were rated as the top 3 in the area: Malcapuya Island, Coco Beach, and Ditaytayan Island. All slightly different, but enjoyable nonetheless. Honestly, in this area that's all there is to do. Either going to the beach or to a lake, which is what I did; a full day of snorkeling and relaxing on beautiful beaches.

Three beautiful beaches about 2 hours from town, so less crowded and clear water, make for a wonderful and relaxing day. Found some cool shells... and then left them on the boat. Oh well, at least I have 2 more weeks of awesome beaches to explore!

Below is the great group of people I went on the tour with. From Canada, Argentina, Romania and Philippines.

Next stop: El Nido, Palawan. To get there, you can fly, take a ferry, or do a 3-day island hopping tour that starts in Coron and ends in El Nido. I decided to fly this time too. The flight is less than an hour, which means more time at the beach!
