My first stop in Mexico is in Jalisco(State) Guadalajara(Capital City). What a beautiful city! So much history there. I started with a cultural tour of downtown. Look at the architecture. We visited government buildings, Freedom Square and Cabanas Museum that houses the renowned murals of Jose Clemente Orozco. Plus the oldest market in the city. A very interesting day!

And also one of the oldest catholic churches.

Third from the top on the left is a confessional...the casket next to it is in the basement and it's of a priest. Just one of many buried below the church.

And finally, the murals. We had quite the conversation about them.

Part of the museum is now a college. Those are the pictures on the bottom row.

It's unfortunate that in the states, all you hear is negative things about Mexico. I actually found a wonderful city, I feel safe and welcome and I'm really enjoying exploring the city. Learning the history and the culture is exciting. I can't wait to see more!
