So I'm working my way south now. Starting in Ninh Binh at the Bai Dinh Pagoda. This is one of the most famous pagodas in Vietnam. Below are pictures of some of the stone statues of Arhats(Students), the belltower with 27 tons and 36 tons of bronze and the golden statue of the Goddess of Mercy.

Then moved on to the cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave and Nau Ruou.

Then we were off to the old Capital of Hoa Lu during the Dinh and Le dynasties.

Then off to more caves: Tam Coc.

Overall, Ninh Binh was a cute little town, and the caves were cool to ride through. They work hard though-and a lot of the row boat operators were women!

Next off to Phong Nha, another town a little further south with tons of caves too. We went to Phong Nha caves and Phong Nha caves. Enjoy the photo's!

Just imagine, this was all underwater at one time. Just amazing. The Phong Nha cave is also the longest cave in southeast Asia.

The bottom middle picture is the Vietnam War Memorial.

Paradise cave is next. It's a wet cave, and said to be the most beautiful.
