I started off my trip in Hanoi- the capital of Vietnam. And per usual, I did a food tour- a street food tour this time. But only after my 4.5hour spa session-so needed after all those hours on the plane! Perfect introduction to this city in my opinion. Arrived at hotel, swept off to the spa onsite and picked up by my tour guide 30 minutes later for yummy Vietnamese food.
Top left Papaya Salad, then Famous Egg Coffee, Sticky Rice Ice Cream(sticky rice soaked in pandan and topped with coconut ice cream, fresh coconut and toasted coconut), slimy egg dish, Egg rolls and sweet rolls, Local HaNoi beer, dry Pho, and Banh Mi(sandwich).
Below are pictures from our walking street food tour.
Next morning walking around old town and the lake again. The traffic is no joke!
Incense Village where they make incense and can hats. I got to make one! It's on the left with my initials and 2025. Nope, I'm not an artist! Then Mai Chau Village where I took a bicycle ride tour through the village and saw a local woman weaving traditional cloth, traditional houses and beautiful countryside.
I have so many pictures that I'm going to do a part 2 with the historical Hanoi City tour. Watch out for it! I hope you enjoyed my introduction to Hanoi and Vietnam. Loving it so far!
