So I left the coast and went inland to Da Lat. It's at a higher elevation, so the temperature is much cooler than Saigon. They grow a lot of flowers here and harvest coffee and strawberries in the region. You can see evidence of that below. Plus I visited a beautiful Japanese style Bonsai park. Langbiangland- an "amusement" park with tribal dancers and farm animals as well and Datanla Waterfall where you get to ride a rollercoaster up to the waterfall.
While at the Bonsai farm below I got to experience a local coffee roaster and what a pleasure that was! I sat and enjoyed 2-3 custom blends and they were all so different and infused with flowers and herbs and I absolutely LOVED them! I only wished I had room to carry more with me. I'll definitely be ordering some once I get settled. It's Ca Thu Roastery.
The next day I went to Panjour Waterfalls where we stopped at a bee farm on the way-yikes! Luckily they were all in a good mood, but I was still on edge...
Overall it was a good couple days in Da Lat and nice to slow down and enjoy a slower pace and activities not requiring much. I think it was the perfect way to end my Vietnam tour! I know that I will definitely be back to Vietnam in the future. I would encourage anyone thinking about visit to definitely go. It's a wonderful country with great food and wonderful people!
